Dakota Otis has been a euphonium and low brass player for the last 13 years, originally starting as an alto sax player before switching to euphonium in 8th grade. He also picked up double bass in high school as a secondary instrument. Dakota has been apart of a number of ensembles in Southern California, including the Los Osos High School Regiment (marching band) and wind ensemble, Rancho Cucamonga Community Band, and multiple University of Redlands ensembles.
Dakota received his Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Redlands in 2022 and his Masters in Learning and Teaching in 2023.
Dakota then became Band Director for Cope Middle school in 2024 and joined the RTMB instructional staff in the Fall of 2024.
When Dakota is not teaching he can be found riding his motorcycle, at home playing video games with his girlfriend, Caroline, or hanging out with his two cats, Kaia and Chunk.
